In math, zero is 'none' but it also increases the numbers up an octave, from 1 to 10 to 100 to 1000 to 10000..... It means "nothing" yet we would favor a check with more of them in a row to a check with fewer or none! It is called the "Cipher" which interestingly also means the key to unlocking a secret code as well as the secret code itself. In numerology, zero is a symbol which represents this nameless, faceless yet transforming, invisible "Power" and as with all things non-physical, symbols are the most accurate way to convey a sense of something that is not easily explained in words. Symbols speak to us on a deeper, richer and more subconscious level. So, in numerology, 0 is a symbol which represents the qualities of 'the Presence of nothing' (or the absence of Something), emptiness, the Unified Field of all Possibility, clean-slate, pure potential, non-subjective - non-judgemental Power, purity, the void etc.. etc... Many of these terms have been used to describe the experience of God and of transcendental consciousness as well.. so.. in symbolic thinking, one can be thought to be related to the other - at least for the purpose of explaination and greater understanding. For numbers in names, dates, files, codes and wherever else you find the BIG ZERO, we think of these numero-symbolically as being elements of Pure 'space'. Potential and the space to allow a shift or a change. All and nothing is present at once. It is sacred because it creates a blip in time outside of the illusion - which allows the possibility to change - to raise or lower. Zero is the light which reveals. By the time you get to 1 (one) there is a subjective, defineable, predictable "entity" that does 1-type things. Zero comes before that. It's where all the numbers rest and decide what to be next. Zero spiritualizes wherever it's found. It is the bridge between positive and negative, physical and spiritual, -1 and 1 etc...
