Numerology:
and The Divine Triangle From the
Publisher: [This
is an excellent numerology book! It teaches the basics but also
relates each number to the tarot, and astrology. Great for the more esoteric
understanding of your Destiny. Probably my very favorite book! Mine is
taped, tattered and torn!]
Florence Campbell (Original Copyright 1931) [My first book - so it's very sentimental... Excellent book and remarkably thorough. I would recommend this book for anyone wanting to know all of the basics plus a whole lot more. A CLASSIC!] |
Numerology
Has Your Number Annotation: [Excellent numerology book that focuses on the challenges in depth as well as covers the rest of the basics. Ellin also has the correspondences for each number; the colors, gems, foods, musical note etc.... for each vibration.] |
Master
Numbers: Cycles of Divine Order From the
Publisher: [This is one of the best books on Master Numbers I've found! Most books only gently cover 11, 22 and sometimes 33, but Faith Javane believes that we have evolved to a place where more of us can handle the intense frequencies of the higher Master Numbers. This is also a great book for those of you who are seeing repeated numbers (222, 555, 11:11) everywhere you look!] |
Numerology:
The Complete Guide Volume I Synopsis [Good
study book set (very much like a textbook) to learn the basics very thoroughly
and systematically. Vol. 1 teaches you about the name aspects and Vol.
2 teaches you about the birthdate and time periods.]
Numerology:
The Complete Guide Volume II Synopsis
The
Life You Were Born to Live Annotation [An excellent book on the "Destiny" (birth date total)! Dan Millman goes in-depth to explain your multi-faceted life purpose based on the double-digit total of your birth date. He offers a slightly new way of adding up the Destiny - but even the explanations of the core-number Destinys are very informative and useful! I like the depth of the descriptions and the appendix in the back with the birth dates and 'Birth Numbers' for thousands of well-known people!] |
Numerology,
the Power in Numbers [This is a good beginner's book. One that I found to be very easy to read and follow while also teaching the fundamentals and staying true to the Pythagorean methods that have been handed down from the "elders" of numerology. In other words, this is not an 'ego' book - filled with newly invented methods and terminology to confuse and deter the new student.]
Numerology:
Key to Your Inner Self [The same as above. Hans Decoz presents a consistent and thorough introduction to the fundamentals of numerology.]
Numerology
the Romance in Your Name [Juno Jordan is one of the great "elders" of modern numerology and she has a considerable following. Her technique differs slightly from the methods you find in the above numerology books (and what you find written by some of the earliest numerology "elders" - see Mrs. L. Dow Balliett below) in that she called the name total our "Destiny" and our birth date total our "Birth Force". She considered the name total as representing "what we must be or do" in life and the Birth Force was "what you have or are", your natural abilities. This is just the opposite to what most other books teach, however, when you read her complete teachings, the way she describes each makes perfect sense and allows for the other perspective too. All of the other aspects of her numerology teachings are consistent with the "common" perspecitve and offer a lifetime of numerology research that the avid seeker will want to soak up.] |
Your
Right Action Number [Another wonderful Juno Jordan book! This one is an invaluable resource for anyone wanting to better understand the Personal Cycles: Personal Year in combination with Personal Month. There is also an added section in the back entitled, "Autobiography of a Numerologist" and this is a MUST read! She is, after all the daughter of Dr. Julia Seton, a student of Mrs. L. Dow Balliett (the eldest elder!).] |

The
Numerology Workbook: Understanding and Using the Powers of Numbers Discover your true destiny in life and learn how to fulfill it by using this time-honored approach to numerology that shows you the correct path to take in order to reach particular goals, including your relationships and career dreams. The key is to start with your personal numbers, based on the time and date of your birth, and follow this step-by-step numerological guide to see how your personal numbers influence the qualities that predict success in life. See how to use the great classic systems of numerology, with special emphasis on the three most popular-the Pythagorean, Golden Dawn, and Cheiro methods. Learn how to use the letters of the alphabet that correspond to your personal numbers in order to decode special meanings and powers hidden in your name. Then you can examine the principles of numerology as they relate to the numbers of the sun, moon, and planets, as well as to the zodiac, the Tarot, and other astrological systems, and draw on cosmic energies as you make your way along the path of success. 224 pages, 112 b/w illus., 8 1/4 x 11. [This is a good "multifaceted" book. Julie Line offers a little about a lot of interesting stuff. Good to have in the bookshelf for research purposes.] |

Numerology
and Your Future From the Publisher In this book, Dusty Bunker will help you predict future trends through the Personal Cycles revealed by numbers. Topics include: Your Four Personal Numbers. Your Personal Year Month, and Day Cycles. How to determine your time of birth. Number delineations for character analysis as well as for prediction. This book is an indispensable companion to Numerology and the Divine Triangle, but it requires no previous knowledge of numerology. Ms. Bunker substantiates her system with extensive evidence from the past, as a basis for prediction of the future. [This is a VERY good book about life Cycles. The "wave" pattern to our lives is well presented here - a must read!] |

Birthday
Numerology From the Publisher Your birthday number is more than simply the day you were born. In fact, it's one of the things that makes you unique. And it can have a profound influence on your life. In Birthday Numerology well-known numerologist Dusty Bunker and psychic counselor Victoria Knowles combine their knowledge of numerology, psychic development and symbolism to explain the significance of birthday numbers. Now you can examine different aspects of your own personality in relation to your birthday number. You can also focus on the personalities of family members, close friends and even complete strangers. The thirty-one numbers cover each day of the month so you can easily find your own number. The introductory section discusses the foundation and validity of birthday numerology. Find out why it' s special to be a "three", a "seventeen", a "thirty" or whatever your birthday number is. Learn why your birthday is so crucial in evaluating your personality and other facets of your life. [An excellent book about the meaning of your birthday number. MUCH better than any of those newer big-press books with all of the colorful pictures! Beware of flashy books that lure you with colorful "fluff" :) ] |
| This next section offers books that I consider to be excellent for more in-depth understanding of numerology and the esoteric principals behind it. They are "must have" books for the serious numerology student, but may be more information than the average seeker is looking for. | |

Hi
friends! So, above are the books that I could find at Barnes and Noble.com that are on my bookshelf and that I use as reference most often. This is not a list of every possible numerology book available - just my favorites - and I tell you why in red below the titles of most of them. I hope this assists you in saving some time and a lot of money (!) on books that don't really measure up. Please note: I obviously haven't read every single book ever written on the subject so just because it's not listed here, does not mean that it's not a good book. If you are wondering about a specific title not listed here, please ask me about it. If I've read it, I'll give you my opinion and if I haven't I might have to go buy it! (I can't resist - I have a 5 Birth Name Expression!) Have fun in your Quest! - angie |
